  • what a december.

last weekend, my sister got married.

the week before... the bachelor party.

Many of you already know I won best in-between act for "Childrens Bedtime Stories from the Department of Homeland Security". I won 40 smackers for that.

I also asked a girl out. Here is the dialogue we had:

"So what are you doing after the stage show?"

"Probably going to friends house or something. I don't know yet."

"How about you come to Steak and Shake with me after the stage show?"

"Oh Ryan... I don't think thats such a good idea, I'm sick."

Pretty funny (period). Even if seems tragic which it really is not.

  • Reality

This idea just came right at me today. I just had to write it down.

In my last entry, I talked about truth, beauty, freedom, love. I believe these are integral to the manifistation of man. But, on every wheat there is chaff and diamond must picked out of the rock. Reality is the chaff, the rock surrounding the glistenening stone of our destiny.

When in pursuit of those four integral elements, reality often has a damper effect. Why keep digging in this dark, dusty, deadly mineshaft in search of the sparkling sapphire of destiny only to dig up coal. In our haste, our desire for our destiny, we dig faster. As we muscle through the mud, muck and rock, we forget to place our beams of support. Then, as we continue to scurry for the sapphire, our cavern crumbles upon us...

    More to come later!
